Saint Mary’s is a Catholic college preparatory high school that provides opportunities for spiritual growth, strives for academic excellence and empowers students with the skills and compassion necessary to thrive in an ever-changing global society. We enroll approximately 850 students and strive to develop the total person -- intellectually, spiritually, creatively, socially and physically.

Saint Mary's draws students from 148 elementary schools located in 42 different cities.
We have 67 dedicated faculty members and student-to-faculty ratio is 13 to 1 with an average classroom size is 20.
We offer 33 Honors and AP courses, 15 visual and performing arts, 36 athletic programs and 38 clubs/organizations.

Experience Saint Mary's High School

The Shadow-A-Ram Program is one of the best ways for prospective 8th grade students to experience what life is really like as a Saint Mary's Ram. Each student is paired one-on-one with a current Saint Mary's student whose interests, activities, and extracurricular involvement closely match their own. This personalized experience allows students to experience a typical school day through the eyes of a current student while exploring the academics, activities, and community that make Saint Mary's unique. While participation in Shadow-A-Ram is not required as part of the admissions process, it is highly encouraged.

If your student currently attends a Diocesan feeder school within the Diocese of Stockton, there is no need to register for an individual Shadow-A-Ram visit through this form. Saint Mary's partners with each diocesan feeder school to host a dedicated Shadow-A-Ram Day exclusively for its 8th grade class. Your student's school will provide information about its scheduled visit.

Students who do not attend one of our diocesan feeder schools are invited to register for an individual Shadow-A-Ram experience using the form below.

Students will:

Be paired with a current Saint Mary's sophomore or junior whose interests closely align with their own.
Attend A, B, and C period classes alongside their student ambassador.
Experience a typical school day by interacting with teachers, classmates, and the Saint Mary's community.
Enjoy a complimentary lunch on campus with their student ambassador.
Have the opportunity to ask questions about academics, athletics, clubs, campus life, and the student experience.
Be picked up immediately following the conclusion of the lunch period.

Students should wear:

A white, gray, navy, or black polo or collared shirt
Gray, khaki, or navy pants or shorts made of traditional uniform pant material.
Students who are required to wear a school uniform at their current school are welcome to wear their regular school uniform during their Shadow-A-Ram visit.

Registration is required, and space is limited. Please complete the inquiry form below to request a Shadow-A-Ram visit. Once your request has been received, a member of our Admissions team will contact you with confirmation and additional details.
